I’ve always thought the Teddy Bear Toss was really cool. I wish I could get a chance to see it in person. I think that would be really neat. As many of you know, but some of you may not be aware; this is a tradition in minor and junior hockey leagues. It’s all for a great cause and it looks like it’s loads of fun. Last year, a whopping 23,096 stuffed animals were donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
While I thought that was amazing, you won’t believe how much was donated this year! About 25,000! That’s crazy. Can you imagine how long that would take to pick up? I would love to be one of the people who gets to clean it up even, because then I’d get to really understand how many were donated.
Have any of you ever been to this event? If so, what was it like? Did you get a chance to donate anything? I have a ton of stuffed animals that I don’t need and I think donating them for a great cause would be the best option. It’s much more rewarding than selling them at your garage sale.
What’s so funny to me is this year (2011), all the bears were thrown on the ice after the first goal was made. I wonder how long it took for them to be able to continue the game. I personally didn’t see it on TV or anything, although I want to find a video. I’m curious if the players act in on it and throw something out, too.
I bet he fans were amped up this year because it took about 40 minutes before they were able to start throwing their toys. How exciting!
Ever since Manny Pacquiao beat Juan Manuel Marquez in November, he has been working hard to get his life on track. His wife has been by his side and helping him get back on track. This means, no more late night out and no more gambling.
I don’t know about you, but I’m really proud of him. This is a huge step for him to take and not something that usually works overnight. I’m glad to see him trying so hard to better himself. I have been changing up my life recently and I will be the first person to tell you, it’s not something that’s fun and it’s a pain in the butt. There are times when you want to slip up but you know you can’t.
It’s always nice to see married people coming together and helping each other out. It’s the only way to be. I’m surprised she’s put up with all of his antics for this long, to be honest. I mean, it must be really hard being with someone like him, even if he is a good guy. Being a good partner can only get you so far; there is so much more to a marriage than that.
I wish him the best of luck and I hope to see him doing better in the year 2012. This could just be his best year yet because he’ll be able to focus more on the game.
While this doesn’t really have to do with this article, I wanted to tell you guys about these really cool Basketball Games I’ve been playing lately. They are really fun and addicting like you would not believe. I can’t stop playing them; kinda makes me feel like a pro! Haha!
I can’t even tell you how confused I was as well as upset when I heard about Kurt Busch not driving anymore. I find it really hard to believe that it was a mutual agreement. That just seems like BS. I mean, there must be something that’s gone on behind the scenes that has caused him to leave or maybe him even to be fired. There just doesn’t seem to be a good reason for him to leave. He’s always had everything going for him. It just seems as though this is going to cause some major problems in the future for this poor guy. Does he honestly think he is going to be able to make better money anywhere else? I’d say the jokes on him because not many jobs are going to pay that well.

It always breaks my heart when someone passes away. It doesn’t matter who they were, what they did for a living or how much money they had. I think it’s terrible when anyone’s life is cut short. This poor guy, former Raiders Pro Bowler; Chester McGlockton died of what was thought to be a heart attack Wednesday morning.
For the past two years, he has been couching at Stanford. He retired from professional football in 2003.
My heart goes out to him and his families. I can’t help but wonder where he was and what he was doing when it happened. I hope it happened fast and I hope he wasn’t alone. Death is one of those things that completely blows my mind and I can’t imagine how scary that must be.
This poor guy. I can’t believe he had a heart attack. I mean, he wasn’t the tiniest guy around, but he didn’t look insanely unhealthy or anything like that. He looked pretty good in my opinion.
Stories like this remind me that it’s important to live each day as if it’s your last. It’s so important to not sweat the small stuff and keep your mind on the positive because you never know how long we have on this earth. Life’s way too short to focus on the negative things.
This is a bit off topic, but I wanted to lighten the mood a bit. If you’re a football fan, which I’m guessing most of you reading this are; then you should check out these Football Games I found the other day. They’re pretty cool and super easy to learn. Something I think the whole family can enjoy.
